“You’ve seen it?” the tall fisherman demanded, stopping at their table. His voice carried urgency that startled Megan. “How big was it? Where exactly? When?” Bob and Megan exchanged confused glances, unsure how to respond. The other fishermen leaned in anxiously, eyes sharp, waiting for details. One man added quickly, “Please. It’s important. You need to tell us everything you saw.” The intensity of their voices and stares made Megan’s skin prickle with unease.
