Though uneasy, Megan and Bob sensed desperation in the captain’s plea. His voice softened slightly. “Please—stay aboard. We really need your help.” Bob turned to Megan, whose hesitation was clear. “You’re not bait,” the captain added quickly, reading their fear. “We need outside witnesses, not just fishermen. When people hear our stories, they doubt. But when tourists confirm, they’ll listen. Your presence matters.” Megan exchanged a long look with Bob, uncertainty gripping them both.
