Megan turned toward the crew, her eyes wide and certain. “It wants us to follow,” she said, voice steady despite the tension weighing heavy. The captain scoffed, shaking his head, unwilling to gamble lives on what sounded like fantasy. But Megan didn’t back down. “If I’m wrong,” she said firmly, “you can still stop it. But give it a chance.” Her conviction didn’t waver. She believed every word that spilled from her lips.
