“Cut them free!” Megan and Bob cried together, their voices joining in urgent unison. This time, hesitation vanished. The fishermen moved with purpose, abandoning thoughts of killing. Harpoons, hooks, and knives once meant for blood became tools of rescue. They leaned over the edges, slicing through heavy strands of rope, tearing at the tangled nets. The work was frantic, every slash a small victory against the suffocating trap lurking below the surface.
