Dumping

“This isn’t normal, right?” she asked quickly, her voice muffled by fabric. Pete’s jaw tightened as he shook his head. “Not unless somebody dumped an entire landfill out here.” His eyes darted back across the waves, searching for signs of debris or danger. The tension in his posture was clear now. He turned back toward Judy, suspicion burning in his gaze. “You sure this trip ain’t steering us straight into trouble?” he demanded.
