Luke’s light swept across the jagged cave mouth, illuminating where the chain disappeared inside. The water stirred faintly, hinting at an enclosed space beyond.
Both men hesitated, the weight of the unknown pressing down on them. They could turn back now. But that wasn’t an option either of them would accept. They pushed forward, knowing the only way to learn the truth was to enter.
