Leaving gear behind

Shaking their heads in awe, Luke and Edwin hauled themselves onto a strip of rock. Their boots squelched as they peeled off flippers, the stone cold and uneven.
They adjusted their gear, leaving oxygen tanks behind. The cavern stretched outward in silence, its floor littered with shells, stones, and faint traces of a waterline. Every detail suggested a place untouched by human eyes.
