The chain clattered noisily, groaning as more rusted links revealed themselves from beneath the water. Luke’s breaths came heavier as the sea spray coated his jacket.
He pushed himself harder, giving every ounce of strength. Each emerging link only deepened the mystery. What kind of vessel, what kind of anchor, could possibly require something this huge? The sheer scale of it was baffling.
