Lead the way, little one
Julia looked down and locked eyes with the baby hippo, who rested at her feet. She said that they had to trust the little one. She knew her mother best, so she was going to show them the way.
The baby hippo squealed once and then took a brave step forward through the sandy soil of the forest. “We trust you, little one. Lead the way,” Julia said, gazing proudly on her temporary adoptive child.
