Something Was Wrong
The horse stopped suddenly, ears flicking and body stiff. The driver noticed the ground ahead looked disturbed, as if something heavy had fallen there. He took a few steps closer, his pulse racing. Then he spotted a figure lying among the leaves, partly hidden by branches. His stomach dropped at the sight.
