The Hidden Rider
An older man lay on the ground, clearly injured. His clothes were dirty, and his leg bent unnaturally. His face twisted with pain, but he was conscious. The driver realized at once that this was the horse’s owner. The man must have fallen earlier and been unable to get back up or call for help.
