Polished smooth
Angela reached over the side, touching the cool metal. The surface felt smooth, but unnaturally so, like it had been polished by something other than the sea. A faint vibration hummed beneath her fingers, almost too soft to notice. Her heart skipped a beat, but she tried not to show her unease to the others.
