Expanding the Cut
Another worker grabbed the shears and widened the slit further. The material was thick, stubborn, but the blades eventually tore through, peeling the balloon open bit by bit.
The smell grew stronger now, damp and musty. Still, curiosity outweighed hesitation. One by one, the dock workers leaned forward, desperate to understand what was really inside.
