Later, Emily changed Leo’s blanket and noticed something odd. There was a small stitched heart hidden in the seam, almost invisible unless you looked for it. She ran her finger over it and wondered who had put it there, and why they wanted it hidden. It was the only clue she had, and it made her uneasy.
