What could be drawing her so magnetically towards the sea-lions was beyond puzzling. Could it be some form of misplaced maternal affection? After all, birds are known to adopt chicks of other species. However, these sea lions were not exactly chicks and there was no known precedent of cross-species adoption between penguins and sea lions.
