The smell of salt and oil filled her nose. The floorboards groaned beneath her boots. Tools lined the walls—neat, polished, clearly used. Someone had been caring for this place.
She ran her fingers along a dusty shelf, noticing how some spots were spotless. “You’re not abandoned at all,” she murmured, her voice trembling between awe and disbelief.
