The following morning, Emily visited the small Coast Guard station near the harbor. The officer on duty frowned when she mentioned Greyhaven Light.
“That light’s private now,” he said. “We assumed it was decommissioned ages ago.” When she asked who maintained it, he shook his head. “Not us. Not anyone I know.”
