Listening Together
Inside, a small crowd filled the room. The air was cool, the lamps soft. Alan pressed play on one of the reels. A deep voice filled the space, slow and reflective.
People stood shoulder to shoulder, listening quietly. When the tape clicked to a stop, nobody moved for several seconds.
