Inside the box were newspaper clippings from the ’60s, pictures of a young family – likely the previous occupants of the farm – children’s drawings, a love letter, old coins, and a military tag with a name inscribed, “John D. McAllister.”
It seemed to be a collection of nostalgia, memories, and relics, personal treasures left by a man who had once called this land home.
