It was an unusually sunny day in the quiet winter months when a group of experienced hikers set out to explore some lesser-known trails in Norway. Well prepared and in good spirits, they headed into the white-tipped wilderness expecting the usual gifts of nature: sweeping views, fresh air, and maybe a glimpse of wildlife along the way.
